Big SEIU Party to keep the kids happy - The face behind #Occupy

Video streaming by Ustream

http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/21512130 (recorded)

Tenacious Dive: (some of it inaudible) (Tim?:) It's 9:49pm here in LA and in just a few minutes Tenacious D is going to play, so I thought I'd stream it and later on hopefully get an interview with Jack Black about the occupy movement and... it's interesting to see the position of people who are successful when it comes to the 99% and by successful, I mean pretty wealthy... (woman's voice:) whatever it takes... (Tim?:) filming him for BoinBoing.net awesome blog

(Woman announcer:) "In just a few minutes Tenacious D is going to play, and then get an interview with Jack Black... Whatever it takes... filming from boingboing.net, awesome blog... I'm here in LA... in about 30 minutes the whole place is going to turn into this rocking(sp) dance party.... but before that happens you're gonna hear from what might be the greatest band in the world, perhaps the known universe, but first you're wanna say hello to my social S-E-I-U.. whassup everybody... on behalf of the members of SEIU, ...we wanna make sure we do this movement right, by taking these peeps everything here tonight 99% friends - right through November, are we ready for that... please help me welcome ...Jack Black and Tenacious D..."

This is the 99% Artist's Reception, never seen anything like this.. see if I can get an interview with Jack Black in just a minute, let's go into the green room for a second... Jack Black getting high fives, it's interesting to see a lot of their songs were political in nature... Welcome to the green room everybody. I'll just leave it going and see what happens... let's see if they want to do an interview... Hey Jeff would you like to do an interview "What's your name?" "Tim..." "#Occupy," I'm actually live right now" Oh, you're live? livestreaming, "C'mon they're livestreaming #Occupy," I wanted to ask you, "What's your perspective on the Occupy Movement..." "talk about it kid, you take this one..." "they do some good work Occupy wall st..It's similar to the 99%... oh of course, occupy, I think it's a powerful movement, an important movement, I think its gotta keep the fat cats in check, am I right, cage now, are we the fat cats? I'm afraid we are, but we're the fat cats that are om the good side, we're the limousine liberals, but, hey those are good, we need some of those, to grease the wheels, we're backing you guys 100%, we're backing you as much as we can without actually pitching a tent... how come we haven't gone out there to support it in person... we're going, we're coming to press the flesh...

Are you coming to Union square in NY? is that where it's happening? when's that whenever you guys come... it's starting to look like we're being exposed for not knowing enough, ha ha, but you know our heart's in the right place, we love ya...

alright , so.. Let's see if Jack Black and Kyle Gass show up in Union Square, I have a feeling it's not gonna be happening... but, uh, for those watching, lemme switch to the.. for those watching, it's pretty interesting to be here, it's kinda weird, this is something I've never done before, I try to stay away from these - events, I try to just stick to what's going on, but - a lot of people had views and opinions on the Artist's Reception for the 99%, you know MoveOn, rebuild the dream, the SEIU are really backing this and my fans are sort of show what's happening here and give everyone a chance to really understand what it is, and it was great, you know, Occupy rio, Jack Black and Kyle Gass mentioning that they're the 1% fat cats, or limousine liberals as they were saying.... but umm, for me, it's great to get a chance to come out here and sort of, and show everyone what's happening... and it's 10:22 pm here on the west coast...

so, thank you everyone whose stayed tuned in... i'm gonna keep going... I'm gonna give everyone a shot of... (chatter) so, I'm gonna show everyone what's going on, I'm gonna show everyone the greenroom, and you're going to get a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes...

Occupy LA occupiers are actually in the green room they got a chance to speak out at the event... so I dunno

it's important to show people what's happening, and that's kind of what I feel like I'm doing, all the time...let's do a mosey of the green room real quick, well, here's Brett Novak, a skateboard video producer, my good friend from back in the day...we're gonna do a 'quick walkthrough of the greenroom for everybody who's watching...

...so for me, Tenacious D was the big thing, and it was really it was really awesome to see, even during the performance. Jack Black and Kyle Gass straight up saying they were the 1%, it's kind of funny, but you know again, mostly my thing here is to give the inside perspective, to try'n show people what's what's really happening.. and it's pretty dark in here, even I can't see...

So, you've got, you've got these big, these big organizations, you've got the SEIU, over 2 million members, you've got MoveOn, Rebuild The Dream, and they really they really seem to like the idea of the 99%... now there's people within Occupy who don't like the fact that you have these big organizations... who have such power coming in and doing their thing, essentially, some people are worried about being co-opted, some people have strong criticisms of The 99% Spring, a lot of people really encourage the idea of getting Unions involved... so, my position isn't, or my place isn't to tell you what to believe, my place is to tell you to google it Google is really great, learn about it learn about the issues learn what everyone's doing, learn what OWS is doing, learn what the Tea Party is doing... and really just become engaged and informed... so, for those just tuning in you can find me on Twitter, @timcast

...these types of events... For Larry, who's asking, I am in Los Angeles, found out about this at the last minute, and I pushed real hard to be able to come out here, so that I could show what's happening...again, there were a lot of people from Occupy LA who came out and spoke at the artist's reception, alot of artists, MOBY is about to play, I really just wanted to show Tenacious D, got an interview with Van Jones, Elijah Wood, and, I spoke with Edward Norton, but I didn't get a video interview with him and I'm having trouble getting the Elijah Wood upload, uh to upload pretty much it, this is the green room, a lot of people chilling, Tenacious D earlier
thank you everybody, this is, again, I've never done anything like this, even with livestreaming OWS actions and encampment, now to be here streaming an artist's event...even with it's affiliations with Occupy and the 99%, it's really new, and I'm giving it a shot, see how it goes.. I dunno, I guess this is it, I'll definitely have more updates on Twitter.., and again I sincerely appreciate everybody who jumped in and wanted to watch the show, so, thank you all so much, and you'll see me later...

...and so I don't know if this will make it on live but I generally wait 30 seconds before I cut it off, if anyone gets to hear it.. My... Personally, when it comes to these big movements, you know, I spoke with some of the occupy LA people and they were saying you can't fight you know, being co-opted and all that stuff, and to stay away from the negative, it's really amazing to see a relatively small amount of people, inspired the world, and inspired even the nation, the world was really inspired by the __ movement and the Arab Spring, and now that there's this Artis's event that's inspiring so many people...

I'm told this won't be up long.

It's not normal for them to show this, but because it just happened live you can at least catch it, he will be damned for showing it, by occupiers, but see he is the kinda the middleman if you will between the movement idiots on the street and where the money comes from... most occupiers on the street despise him... he's kinda a middleman if you will... they dont like that the movement wasn't grass roots... and they want to claim that... with people like him in it it can't be... that part occupiers are blind to... they are trying to mainstream the 99%... it will be out in the open soon but its still pretty buried.. this video will shed a lot on the movement that has pretty much been hidden from the public but will be pretty mainstream soon...

Olbermann Canned? Good riddance ....

Current TV Cans Keith Olbermann - FOX News

"A statement from the network's founders Al Gore and Joel Hyatt said it had been founded "on the values of respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty to our viewers. Unfortunately these values are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann and we have ended it.""

Why ANYONE would EVER think Olbermann met that criteria is beyond me. The man repeatedly proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was a vile, corrupt, and irresponsible loser when he worked for MSNBC. He'd make a really great spokesperson for the OWS gang though ...

Personally, I can't think of too many people who deserve to be on the unemployment line more than Keith Olbermann. The only thing that bothers me about this is that Al Gore apparently agrees with me ...

Which is really more important to this President: the tone of the national discourse or cold, hard cash? And then there's still Maher's million...

return it or quit lecturing us...

CIVILITY: WILL OBAMA RETURN $1.6 MILLION RAISED BY SPIKE LEE?
Dig this. A few days ago Spike retweeted an address he believed belonged to George Zimmerman, the shooter in the Trayvon Martin case. It's not clear what Spike hoped would happen to Zimmerman, but given the firestorm surrounding the case, he must have known it wouldn't be pretty.

Indeed, some of Spike's followers made death threats. Already at this point, Spike had crossed a line.

Only, as it turned out, the address Spike sent to his quarter million followers on Twitter was not George Zimmerman's address. It belonged to Elaine and David McClain, a couple in their 70s. The McClains have reportedly fled their home and have now retained an attorney.

So Spike Lee's actions were not only reckless and inflammatory; they were also stupid. So far, the entertainment media are being remarkably quiet about this scandal, almost as if they've decided to spike the story (couldn't resist).

But in this case, it's not just Spike's reputation but the President's that is on the line. Recall that President Obama, when asked, was happy to weigh in on offensive comments made by Rush Limbaugh. He expressed his concern about the tone of debate, a tone which could one day be turned against his daughters. He also made a personal call to Sandra Fluke to thank her for her public testimony.

Isn't sending a person's home address to an angry mob looking for "justice" at least as problematic? And again, this isn't just any person; this is someone whose home Obama visited two months ago to collect campaign donations.
Twitter still hasn't killed the #KillZimmerman account either,

Lynch mob: Spike Lee re-tweets incorrect address of Trayvon Martin shooter

Filmmaker Spike Lee made waves on Twitter last week when he re-tweeted to his 200,000 followers (h/t Twitchy) what was thought to be George Zimmerman's home address in Sanford, Florida. - Washington Times

The President's goons jumped to conclusions based on the name "Zimmerman" - if the name had been Sanchez, we wouldn't be looking at this mess, but this "crisis" was prepped and ready to launch at the first sign of something race-based.

They can't call it back now, much as they would undoubtedly like to. The bald-faced fact that this President is willing to foment racial tensions is in clear public view.

The Black Panthers are offering a Dead Or Alive Bounty, and Spike Lee is tweeting home addresses.

If anything happens to the resident of this address - who is to blame?

He wants you all ginned up and hating each other.

Mr. President, If I Had a Son…. (Updated)

Oops. Silly me – that isn’t a picture of Trayvon Martin, that’s a picture of Matthew Bent. - teresainfortworth

And this is Trayvon Martin, the way he WANTED to be seen: This image is the photograph the late Trayvon Martin used to represent his Twitter identity in late 2011, under the screen name "T33ZY_TAUGHT_M3." Although the Twitter account was deleted, The Daily Caller retrieved it from the social analytics website PeopleBrowsr. The upper-arm tattoo in the image matches one in a close-up photograph on Martin's MySpace page. (Image: Twitter)

The Hunger Games: A Glimpse into the Progressive Left’s Endgame

Progressivism is dangerous. Those progressives who deny this are either too ignorant to see it, too brainwashed to admit it or, occasionally, complicit in the danger. The Hunger Games offers us a peek at a universe which would only be possible under radical progressivism. - Hillbuzz

'HUNGER GAMES' SMASHES BOXOFFICE RECORDS... DEVELOPING... - deadline.com

Lionsgate’s record-shattering The Hunger Games opened with $68.25M grosses for Friday’s North American box office, including $19.75M in record-setting midnights. That should make for a first weekend of $140M with upside from 4,137 locations, with a screen count just under 10,000 prints. About 75% of those prints are in digital theaters, including 268 IMAX theaters across North America. Hunger Games records include: the highest non-sequel opening weekend ever, and the highest debut single day for a non-sequel ever, and the highest March opening ever, and the 5th highest opening day ever.

Guest Post: An Open Letter to Occupy Wall Street from a New York City Police Officer

Videos pop up daily calling cops “pigs” and selectively show edited clips of protestors being arrested – after they assault police officers. Protestors purposefully disobey, threaten, and attack police officers provoking them into physical confrontation for the purpose of getting it on video all the while chanting “the whole world watching”.... - Savejersey.com

If you want to make a difference, do something productive. Call your Senators or run for public office. Sitting in the lobby of a bank just makes problems for the hard working bank employees – who probably aren’t making much more than minimum wage, the police who now have to deal with the problem, and the customers.

We, the hard working people of the City of New York are getting sick of your antics.

What age is it when kids are obsessed with bodily functions? Some never grew up, it seems...

Obama approved, Pelosi endorsed #Occupy strikes again.

Occupy Wall Street Protesters Dump Human Waste in Bank
A group of the anti-greed activists took their protest to the gutter earlier this month — caught on camera pouring buckets of human waste into a Downtown bank and public plaza, police announced Wednesday in a cheeky email entitled "OWS Human Feces Arrest - It Happens."
Some of the protesters — who clashed with police March 17 resulting in dozens of arrest — allegedly hauled large containers of human urine and feces to One Chase Manhattan Plaza just before 8 p.m. March 14 and allegedly dumped the waste down a set of stairs at Nassau and Cedar streets.

(The owner of the van that hauled it, Jordan Brooks Amos, 25, of Philadelphia, Pa.) was charged with unlawful possession of noxious material, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of a weapon, for a stun gun found in the car, police said.

Such lovely children.

But will Obama call this girls parents… And will Gloria Allred take the case pro-bono???

◼ Comment on this post: Another Day… Another Rape at an Obama-Endorsed #Occupy Camp from Gateway Pundit

The #Occupiers have put together quite an impressive record:

- 9 deaths, 5 found dead in tents, One found dead after 2 days
- 2 murders (Not counting the protester who strangled his parents and stuffed them in a car)
- Tens of millions of dollars in damages, layoffs, vandalism, law breaking
- Multiple Rapes
- Thousands of arrests
- Public masturbation
- Feces
- Child molestation and baby abuse

The #Occupy movement may be winding down but not the raping.

(Members of the Occupy movement said neither Gamble nor the victim are members of the movement. They said both are homeless and set up a tent nearby.)

No More MRSA: Nanomedicine Will Destroy Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria

Humans have made the regrettable mistake of overusing both antibiotics and antimicrobial consumer products. Now we have antibiotic-resistant bacteria--like MRSA--popping up in our hospitals, and toxic antibacterial ingredients like triclosan seeping into our water supply. But MRSA may not be long for this world, and antimicrobials may soon be left out of our toothpaste and mouthwash.

Last spring, IBM and the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology discovered a new kind of polymer that can seek out and destroy antibiotic-resistant bacteria and diseases. I recently visited Jim Hedrick at IBM Research to learn more.

The biodegradable polymers--which are made out of nanomaterials--have a magnet-like attraction to infected cells. Once these cells are reached, the polymer goes inside, destabilizes them, and causes them to explode.

It’s a process that’s similar to what the body already does to fight infection.... read the whole thing...

Each local group has portrayed itself as an independent community organization not tied to any special interest. But they were founded, incorporated, and led by SEIU personnel.

Part 1 Secretive nationwide network gives SEIU new organizing muscle - Daily Caller

The politically aggressive Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has quietly created a national network of at least eight community-organizing groups, some of which function alongside the Occupy Wall Street movement, a Daily Caller investigation shows.

Incorporated by the SEIU as local non-profits, the groups are waging concerted local political campaigns to publicly attack conservative political figures, banks, energy companies and other corporations.

The individual activist groups use benign-sounding names including This Is Our DC; Good Jobs, Great Houston; Good Jobs, Better Baltimore; Good Jobs Now in Detroit; Fight for Philly; One Pittsburgh; Good Jobs LA; and Minnesotans for a Fair Economy.

In reality, they are creations of the wealthy and influential labor union, amounting to a secret network of new SEIU front groups.

Part 2 of Daily Caller’s Occupy/SEIU investigation - Michelle Malkin's Twitchy.com

Part 2: Secretive SEIU network partners with Occupy movement, raises nationwide hell - Daily Caller

The organizations — including This Is Our DC; Good Jobs, Great Houston; Good Jobs, Better Baltimore; Detroit’s Good Jobs Now; Fight for Philly; One Pittsburgh; Good Jobs LA; and Minnesotans for a Fair Economy — employ “flash demonstrations” and other tactics to deluge their political targets with protesters, sometimes numbering in the hundreds.
TheDC first reported Monday on the secretive ties between these organizations and the SEIU. Their elaborate and sometimes lavish protests, some with expensive-looking production values, advance the giant labor union’s interests without exposing the SEIU directly to criticism from the public.

Since Monday, TheDC has identified another organization in this network: “Working Washington,” whose Seattle-based website mentions nothing about its SEIU ties. That site, however — like those of the other front groups — is hosted on a server that TheDC traced back to the SEIU.

We've been seeing this for YEARS - the creation of these phony groups, the same small group of people behind it, using the "grassroots" groups as a cloak - they propagate, and they cross-pollinate, endorsing each other, and calling it a growing coalition... and they use it to skirt laws, and even if they're caught, it's the boiler-room model, they shut down and re-open across the street under a new name...

This time they're gone too far - and finally, there are people who are going to expose it for what it is - and hopefully prosecute wherever possible.

Liars, cheats and thieves...

Another Day, Another Democrat Tries to Steal an Election

Former West Virginia Sheriff Attempts to Steal Election - FOX News

"Prosecutors say Bowman and former Lincoln County Clerk Donald Whitten, 62, were part of a scheme to steal the May 2010 Democratic primary by stuffing ballot boxes with illegal absentee ballots.

Bowman admitted to falsifying more than 100 of the absentee ballot applications and even voting with some of the ballots himself, while Whitten, who also pleaded guilty Wednesday, acknowledged lying to investigators about the plan to try to throw the election."

"“Voter fraud in southern West Virginia goes far and wide. It’s been bad my whole life,” the Lincoln County Republican Party Chairwoman Lisa Ramey said. She is now running for sheriff, and told Fox News that she once “saw someone buy a vote and get a bottle,” meaning whiskey.

“I’m appalled, disgusted,” she says. “We have good citizens in Lincoln County and we would like to have one, decent, fair election in our county, but I’m not sure that will be able to occur unless the federal government takes over the election process.”"

I'm not quite sure what good it would do to have the feds take over the states' elections. Election fraud appears to be just as bad on the federal level as it is on the state level. We shouldn't expect it to end on the state level just because the feds get involved...

One thing is certain though. Decent Americans should not be expected to tolerate case after case of this nonsense. Fair and open elections are one of the things that set this country apart from the rest of the world. Allowing these criminals to shamelessly thumb their noses at democracy and corrupt our electoral process is ridiculous.

It's time we take a hard look at increasing the penalties for election fraud. Election fraud borders on treason, and the penalties for it should reflect that.

The Ugly Face of Liberalism ....

Unmasking the World's Most Wanted Hacker - FOX News

"An unemployed computer programmer, welfare recipient and legal guardian of two young children, Monsegur did not go to college and is a self-taught hacker. Although his skills and intellect could command a lucrative salary in the private sector, those who know him say he is lazy, an underachiever complacent with his lifestyle."

"It was his anti-government, anti-capitalist ideologies that caused Monsegur to gravitate toward hacking, according to those who witnessed his ascent. His rare blend of interpersonal skills, technical ability and street cred, combined with the hacks he did, ensured his rapid ascent in the hacker community. Driven by politics, Monsegur once released personal information about Arizona law enforcement in response to the state’s immigration law."

This guy is a case study in left-wing, anti-establishment, self-serving anarchy. He chose to "occupy" other peoples' computers and identities and work for companies that stole from others rather than apply himself and put his talents toward honest, productive pursuits.

He's lucky he's not "occupying" a jail cell, and in my opinion, he should be, children or no children.

In Memoriam: Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012)

With a terrible feeling of pain and loss we announce the passing of Andrew Breitbart. - Breitbart's Big Hollywood

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.

Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.
Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us.
Andrew Breitbart: A Whirlwind Dies - Roger L. Simon/PJM
There are few people who are irreplaceable, but Andrew may have been one of those few. - Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion
