MADNESS

(OK, I had to kill the second video, since the auto-on feature can't be disabled, and it is annoying. The story is about Tennessee schools banning hugging. A disturbing trend, as the ever increasing nanny-state creep spreads across the land.)

A Sad Day in America ....

With today's Supreme Court ruling that Obamacare is Constitutional (when it CLEARLY isn't) one has to wonder ... have "progressive" Socialists finally succeeded in gaining a majority in the Judicial branch of our government?

We've known for some time now that progressives have secured a firm toehold in the Executive and Legislative branches of our federal government.  Could it be that the Judicial branch has now been infiltrated as well?  If so, then the American public faces a real uphill battle if this country is ever going to be restored to the Constitutional Republic envisioned by our forefathers.

Through years of complacency and inattention to the critical functions of government, we have allowed our Republic to be corrupted and our Constitution to be trampled and re-written into something that would make any revolutionary era patriot roll over in their grave.  How ANY  self-respecting justice of the Supreme Court could EVER think that our government should have the power and the authority to force us to buy heath insurance or pay a tax if we don't is beyond me.  If, as it is my understanding, the goal was to prevent people from declining to buy insurance, and in effect forcing the rest of society to pay for their health care, wouldn't simply eliminating the mandate that forces hospitals to treat non-paying patients be a better and fairer solution for everyone?

The system of checks and balances, which is the keystone of our Republic, was designed specifically to protect us from an oppressive, overreaching government.  When properly functioning, it should have prevented ANYTHING like Obamacare  from ever being foisted upon us, but it has failed us miserably today.  It was completely circumvented with this ruling, and one must conclude that if it can be circumvented today, it will be circumvented again.  That, I'm afraid, spells the end of the rule of Constitutional law in America.

No matter how you look at it, this is a VERY sad day for Liberty and Freedom in America.

However, with that being said, and after the initial shock of this decision wore off, it occurred to me that this ruling may be a blessing in disguise.  How Justice Roberts was able to ignore the scathing opinions of the other Conservative justices, which were clearly and solidly grounded in Constitutional law, and rule in favor of Obamacare is beyond me, but he did.  The obvious question now is "Why?".   Has Justice Roberts suddenly become a progressive liberal or a Socialist?  I'd find that pretty hard to believe, given his age and his record, but I suppose it's possible.  I suppose it's also possible that his opinion was bought, or formulated out of fear for his, or his family's, safety.  I sure hope that wasn't the case because if it was, we're in deep trouble. There is, however, another possibility...

If there was ever ANY doubt about the importance of the upcoming election in the minds of Conservatives, it was ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED with this ruling.  If this ruling doesn't galvanize Conservative Americans against the threat of progressive liberalism and Socialism, and serve to bring Conservatives out in HUGE numbers in November to defeat Obama, then nothing will.  Most Conservatives believe that if Obama is re-elected and succeeds in appointing one or more liberal justices to the Supreme Court, America as we know it will be finished.  Perhaps Justice Roberts put America's future ahead of his reputation, took one for the team, and did us a favor by ruling in favor of Obamacare?

Time will tell I suppose.  For now, I just can't help but think that this ruling is wrong, that Obamacare is clearly unconstitutional, and that this is a VERY sad day for America ...

Who has the patent on the 'Miami Cannibal' Cannabis strain?

A Miami man killed by police after he chewed off a big chunk of the face of a homeless man had marijuana in his system but no other drugs, authorities said on Wednesday.
NO BATH SALTS IN SOUTH BEACH CANNIBAL
The much-anticipated toxicology report released by Miami-Dade Medical Examiner Dr. Bruce Hyma found marijuana in Eugene’s system, something CBS4 News had previously reported, but no evidence of any other street drugs, alcohol or prescription drugs, or any adulterants found in street drugs.

The report said this includes cocaine, LSD, amphetamines (Ecstasy, Meth and others), phencyclidine (PCP or Angel Dust), heroin, oxycodone, Xanax, synthetic marijuana (Spice), and many other similar compounds.

Hyma’s office specifically ruled out bath salts, a class of synthetic drugs that have been known to cause bizarre behavior and overheating of people who use them, two things that made some believe Eugene’s cannibalistic behavior could be blamed on the drugs.

That Yoko, she sure is clever...

In one work of art on display there are three identical mounds of earth...

There's really no excuse for anyone to be unemployed when it is this easy to be a great artist. She must laugh at the stupidity of people, that they come in and have to ooh and ahhh over this - joke. Now THAT is power.

Sometimes Dianne Feinstein is just another worthless partisan, going along to get along

And SOMETIMES, she shows herself to be a straight-shooter. Even here, she's not quite ready to buck the party, but she knows, and she's showing signs that she might actually adopt a take-no-prisoners stance, step out of the diplomatic nuance and do the right thing for the right reasons. Can she do it?

Another 'keep it quiet' #Occupy rape

The woman is telling them, that "Sisters in strength" was created to help create a 'safe place' for the women in the movement - and that many women have left the movement because too many are being victimized. As in LA, they are facing their peers who want nothing so much as to shut them up. NOT go for help, NOT go to the cops. NOT get the perpetrator arrested or dealt with.

Another Lord Of The Flies moment of our time this time in Portland, proudly livestreamed (even though they have no free speech, remember?) - opdxlive Live from Occupy Portland 6/7/12

Whether they should engage in 'shunning' and whether they have the 'authority' to engage in 'shunning' as a means of addressing the problem. The problem being that the women are saying we do not feel safe - but they are willing to play along, because they want to be included. It's sick.

"Lean"

Skittles and Arizona Watermelon Fruit Juice Cocktail, not Iced Tea - Jack Cashill/American Thinker

Lean consists of three basic ingredients -- codeine, a soft drink, and candy. "robitussin nd soda" could make "some fire ass lean."

The trouble with avoiding 'certain words.' In this case, 'watermelon.' Are you REALLY afraid to say watermelon because THAT word, too, is now 'raaaaaacist"?

Can we EVER get the facts if reporters are cowed that easily?
